The esteemed Halal Guys carts go brick-and-mortar in the East Village, with the same falafel, gyros, and platters that made them Midtown lunch mainstays, with the addition of Middle Eastern favorites like tabbouleh, hummus, and salads, not to mention a juice and smoothie menu. The East Village isn't exactly starving for falafel, of course, but Halal Guys is open as late as any bar in the neighborhood, making it a perfect reason to skip out before last call and tackle some fresh halal to mitigate tomorrow's hangover.
